No. You need advanced English, at CEFR level C1.
The qualification is on the UK Register of Regulated Qualifications and is awarded by Gatehouse Awards. Your certificate carries a verification code that employers can check.
Level 3 (140 hours) prepares new teachers. Level 5 (220 hours) goes deeper and includes 3 assignments instead of 2. It suits teachers aiming for better jobs at home or abroad.
20 hours of Guided Teaching Practice: you teach real students online while a TESOL expert observes and gives feedback. Premier also includes a free Creative Teacher Award application (worth $50), which comes with two professional development courses.
The course is the same: the same zones, assignments and tutor. Only the certificate is different. The Ofqual-regulated certificate is on the UK Register of Regulated Qualifications and carries credit hours. The QES-endorsed certificate from Gatehouse Awards is recognised internationally but is not regulated and has no credit hours, so it costs less. If an employer or visa scheme asks for a regulated qualification, choose the Ofqual-regulated version. You can upgrade from QES within 6 months by paying the difference.
Every TESOL course includes 8 TESOL flipbooks to keep. Level 3 adds the Mastering Parent Handling Skills course. Level 5 adds the Conflict Resolution in Educational Institutions and Mastering Parent Handling Skills courses. Premier versions add a Creative Teacher Award application.
