WEB Olympiad: Where Language Meets Brilliance!

The Wonderland English Bees (WEB) Olympiad is an international English language competition dedicated to enhancing ALL English language skills, fostering cross-cultural connections, and rewarding academic excellence among students aged 6 to 19. This Olympiad offers a comprehensive learning journey that covers grammar, vocabulary, spelling, reading, listening, speaking and writing skills, with participants competing in two exciting rounds: the International Qualifiers and the Global Finals.

The WEB Olympiad is structured across six levels, ensuring that each participant competes in a category suited to their age and English proficiency.

Preparation Courses
A placement test is available for students to take to assess their English proficiency level. They also have the option to access a highly interactive 100-hour preparation course focused on strengthening grammar, vocabulary, listening, reading, speaking and writing skills.

International Qualifiers
January-July 2026
The first-round exams are conducted through an auto-proctored system and focus primarily on grammar, vocabulary, reading and writing skills. The exam duration ranges from 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the student’s category level.

Global Finals
September-October 2026
The Global Finals gather top-performing students from the Qualifiers for a unique, in-person competition held at a luxurious resort in Romania, Indonesia or Egypt. The exams are paper-based. They focus on grammar, vocabulary, spelling, reading, speaking, and writing.

International Qualifiers Awards

  • The top 10% of students internationally are awarded Gold Medal Certificates, the following 10% receive Silver Medal Certificates, and the next 10% are awarded Bronze Medal Certificates.

  • Medalists are also invited to participate in the Global Finals, providing them with an exciting opportunity to compete face-to-face on an international stage.

  • All students receive a participation certificate to acknowledge their efforts.

    The top three students in each category will be awarded a 15% discount on the Wonderland Niagara Falls STEM & Leadership Camp in Canada. All finalists will receive 10% discount on the camp registration fees.

Yes, participants can purchase a 100-hour interactive preparation course designed to enhance grammar and vocabulary skills through games, animated videos, and engaging activities. This course is included in the WEB Olympiad Package. 

What does the competition entail?

 The competition consists of two rounds: the International Qualifiers and the Global Finals. Qualifiers are held online and assess various language skills. The top performers qualify for the Global Finals in Romania, Indonesia or Egypt, which includes more comprehensive testing, fun activities and the Grand Awards Ceremony. 

What is the format of the exams?

  • International Qualifiers: Online auto-proctored exam featuring multiple-choice questions, matching, fill-in-the-blanks, rewriting tasks, and short-answer questions.
  • Global Finals: Paper-based exams with similar formats plus speaking and writing exams.

What are the durations of the exams?

Depending on the category level, the qualifiers last 30-60 minutes, and the finals range from 45-90 minutes.

Can I select the location for taking the final exam?

Yes, you can choose to take the exam in Romania, Indonesia, or Egypt.
