Job Placement Program in Vietnam and Cambodia

If you have a government-regulated TEFL/TESOL qualification, you can join the Job Placement Program.

If you don’t have a government-regulated TEFL/TESOL qualification, you can either join our Level-5 TESOL Qualification In-Class Program or the Level-3 TESOL Qualification (Online) and Job Placement Program.

Online Level 3 Qualification
  1. Ofqual (Uk-Government) regulated Level 3 qualification (Online GamifiedSelf-Paced Course)
  2. Premium tutor support 
  3. Designated ‘go to’ person for pre-departure guidance (visa, insurance, vaccinations…)
  4. Accommodation for the first nine days
  5. Assistance with a local SIM Card and internet access
  6. Welcome party 
  7. Cultural immersion workshop
  8. Introduction to partner schools
  9. Six hours of observing ESL classes at partner schools
  10. Eight hours of teaching actual ESL classes at partner schools

  5. Single room accommodation (own bathroom) for 25 nights

Working in Vietnam

Salary/Hourly Rate

Foreign ESL teachers in Vietnam typically earn US $1,500.00 to US $1,800.00 (net) per month . Typical hourly rate is between US $17.00 to US $20.00 per hour (net). Savings capacity is around 50% without cutting corners.

Teaching Load

Full-time teaching load is considered to be 20 to 30 classroom hours a week. Work hours can be daytime, evenings and weekend. Minimum of one day off each week. Paid holiday arrangements vary from school to school

Working in Cambodia

Salary/Hourly Rate

Foreign ESL teachers in Cambodia typically earn US $1,100.00 to US $1,400.00 (net) per month. Jobs in regional and rural locations often come with free accommodation. Typical hourly rate is between US $13.00 to US $16.00 per hour (net). Savings capacity is around 50% without cutting corners

Teaching Load

Full-time teaching load is considered to be 20 to 30 classroom hours a week. Work hours are mostly during the day. Minimum of one day off each week. Paid holiday arrangements vary from school to school Job opportunities are mainly in large cities – Phnom Penh, and Siem Reap.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which TESOL/TEFL certificate is required?

Your TESOL/TEFL certificate should be regulated by the UK, Australian or US Government. This means that the certificate is accredited by a government body such as Ofqual in UK.

Should I be a native speaker?

No, non-native speakers can join the program. To be eligible, your English proficiency level should be C1 or above. You will have to take a proficiency test to be hired in Vietnam or Cambodia.

Does the program cover accommodation?

Yes, the program fees cover accommodation for the first 9 days. For the In-Class Level-5 Qualification, the fees cover accommodation for the entire duration of the program (25 days).

Does the program cover flights to Vietnam or Cambodia?

No, the program fees do not cover flights to Vietnam or Cambodia.

Does the program include TEFL/TESOL training?

Yes, the program includes in-class guided teaching practice sessions. It also includes observing ESL classes and employment support. 

What happens after I register in this program?

After paying the registration fees, the program coordinator will contact you to confirm your eligibility and help you get ready for travelling to Vietnam or Cambodia. Two weeks before departure, you will pay the rest of the program fees. 

How much can I earn when I teach in Vietnam or Cambodia?

The average net salary of ESL teachers in Vietnam is 1,700 to 2,000 USD. In Cambodia, the average net salary is 1,300 to 1,600 USD/month.
