TIMO is a two-stage competition that identifies and evaluates mathematical talents on a global scale. The selection round is organized within each participating country, where students face the initial challenge and compete for a place in the final.

Held locally, this round invites students to participate in an online test tailored to their specific grade level. The test features multiple-choice questions designed to evaluate core skills in mathematical reasoning, logical thinking, and problem-solving.

TIMO Global Finals

  • The TIMO Global Round will be held from April 17-22 in Antalya, Turkey, in collaboration with Akdeniz University.

  • The program includes participants' accommodation in hotels, visits to historical and cultural sites, the TIMO final exam, and an awards ceremony.

  • Participants will visit places like Paseris Museum, Antalya Aquarium, and Aspendos Ancient Theatre, as well as take part in cultural performances and talent shows.

  • Participation in the Global Round is optional and is not included in the initial package; students who wish to advance to the finals must register separately for this round (980$ for 6 days including half-board accommodation, excursions and transportation).

TIMO Awards in the Selection and Final Rounds

  • The preliminary round awards include Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Merit certificates based on performance.

  • For participants in the Global Finals, the World Champion—the top-performing student in each grade—will be awarded a PlayStation 5 (PS5).

  • Students who achieve Second Place in each grade will receive a tablet. The Third Place winners, per grade, will be awarded a smartwatch and wireless earphones.

  • The Country’s Top-Performing Student will be honored with a special trophy.

  • Top students in the SS (highest) category may earn acceptance into selected universities, accompanied by scholarship opportunities of 100%, 75%, 50%, or 25%.
